Princess Couture

I came across these stunningly beautiful renditions of Disney Princess through the eyes of photographer Eugenio Recueno. These fairy tales are brought to life with fine Couture and artistic flare! I love ideas like this for photo shoots! Combining real and imaginary while creating art is a beautiful thing and this unique twist on old time favorites bring life to Princess Couture!
Snow White offers an eerie beauty as she lay asleep from the apple's poison. Her gown blanketing her body in style with an empire waist and layered ruffles!

Little Red Riding Hood showcases a magnificent gown and bodice accompanied by a lush red  cape, warding the wolves with her stylish grace.

The Princess & The Pea exudes power with her bold, cascading tresses, and her perfectly tattered gown gives off a feminine feel with it's pastel color, lace and layers.

Cinderella takes a break  from hard work, and in doing so she shows off her  uniquely designed  peasant gown with cinched waist and accessories.

An interpretation of Belle from Beauty & The Beast thinks about her hideous captor while  allowing her dynamic, floor sweeping gown, presenting elegance, and class as well as a few hints of sexy!

Modeling 101 Tips & Tricks

Pointing Your Toes: If you are posing for full length images barefoot, you will want to be sure your toes are pointed for all poses. It creates a seamless, and feminine line for your legs, making them appear longer. Flat feet look masculine and aren't pleasing to the eye in a photograph!

High Heels: Wearing heels tightens the leg and butt muscles as well as elongate the legs. You can also make a fashion statement of course with High Heels as they are the perfect accessory and completion to any wardrobe as there are SO many styles and colors!

Remove Hair Ties From Wrist: I'm guilty of it myself on a rare occasion, but no one wants to see a hair tie on your wrist in images. It doesn't look like an accessory, it looks like a hair tie, especially the ones with the metal pieces. They also create wrist lines.

Stretch Your Neck: By stretching your neck, you elongate it as well. You don't want to lose your neck in images, as it makes it appear as your head is sitting on your shoulders.

Practice Posing: Practice makes perfect! Become more comfortable posing by sitting or standing while posing in front of a full length mirror. This gives you an idea of the poses you like, what looks good, as well as help you learn great angles for your body and face! You can even try mimicking poses from magazine photographs! The more you do this, the more comfortable and versatile you will be on camera!

C-Curve and S-Curves: These are 2 different categories of feminine posing, that are meant to accentuate the curves on the body in images (as well as real life). The S-Curve is simply posing your body from head to toe forming a slight curve that resembles an S. The C-Curve is the same; forming the shape of a C with your body, typically by arching your back. Examples of both below!

The Model Industry is Growing Up!!

Iman is an astounding 54 years old and modeling just the same!

It used to be that once you hit a certain age in the Modeling Industry, you were rendered useless or old, but it seems that the Model Industry is FINALLY Growing Up! Some of the best and most famous Models are reaching or have already reached their 30 year mark, and are not only still amazingly beautiful and just as talented, but they are still modeling strong! Below is a little tribute to those over 30, fabulous Models!

30 year old Gisele Bundchen is modeling as strong as ever!

Saski Brauw is 32 years old, in her 2011 Chanel campaign for Karl Lagerfeld
Adriana Lima, 30, still modeling strong even AFTER giving birth to her child!
So are "older models" the new "young models"? I certainly hope so, because as a model myself going on 26 years old, let's me know there is always a place for me, regardless of age, as long as you still are rockin just the same!

Newspaper Nails

A really fun and different way to add flair to your nails it by giving them a newspaper makeover! This DIY nail trick is easy and super cheap! All you need is nail polish(almost any color will work), newspaper, and rubbing alcohol.

Clip out little pieces of the words in the newspaper. Feel free to go random or actually pick out specific words!

Once you clipped it out, trim around it to make it small, but be careful of making it too small. It needs to be big enough to pull off of your nail.

Paint your nails with your preferred color, and let dry completely.

Dip newspaper clippings one at a time for 1 second, then firmly press onto nail. Follow with the rest of your fingers. The end result is amazing! Apply top coat to give it a glossy finish and enhance the text!

Enjoy your Newspaper Nails!

Break Bad Beauty Habits

Here are some bad beauty habits to break, that you may not have even thought of!

1. Clean Your Brushes!: Not only do clean brushes apply the makeup more smoothly and evenly, but the brushes could be holding bacteria. If you start breaking out, especially in the cheek area, it's time to clean your brushes! They should be washed from time to time with mild soap and water, but in between quick washes can be done with Makeup Brush Cleanser such as Clinique's

2. Remove Makeup Before Sleeping!: I know it's tempting to just go to bed after a long day, and worry about it in the morning, but it's actually damaging to your skin! Makeup rubbing on your pillow can cause the makeup to push deeper into you skin, and can cause breakout! A quick fix would be some cheap makeup removing wipes!

3. Over Exfoliating Can Be Bad: There's no question that exfoliating can leave you with healthier skin, but too much and you can rub your skin red and raw, and possibly create little whiteheads under the skin that are hard to get rid of. A good fix would be a light silky moisturizer that hydrates while it exfoliates, such as DDF's

4. Forgetting Sunscreen: Forgetting sunscreen is one of the biggest beauty mistakes you can make. You can be at a higher risk of cancer, as well as becoming more vulnerable to sun spots and wrinkles much faster than if you were to wear sunscreen! I recommend La Roche Posay 60 spf!
